Reactions after announcement that Bayern Munich have signed Renato Sanches [Tweets]

It has been a wonderful day for Bayern Munich and their fans, as it was announced that Benfica’s young superstar, Renato Sanches, will play for the Bavarians from next season on.

It wasn’t too much of a shock that Sanches left Benfica, as the midfielder was constantly linked to big clubs in Europe throughout the entire 2015-16 campaign, but it was surely surprising that the team that landed him was Bayern Munich. Manchester United were the most likely suitors for the youngsters, at least according to all the speculations, as the Red Devils reportedly had made a couple of offers to Benfica before today’s deal.

According to the website of Bayern Munich, the management of the club paid €35 million for Sanchez, but from the information that was posted by Benfica, they received €35 million, but it’s planned that the Portuguese club will get €45 million as additional payments.
