France simply demolished Iceland today, as Didier Deschamps men were able to get an impressive 5-2 victory without breaking too much sweat. Thus, the Frenchmen will be advancing to the semi-finals where they will meet Germany.
The match started with a clear advantage for France and pretty seen that advantage was visible on score-board. Just after 45 minutes the score was already 4-0. Nevertheless, Iceland managed to get two goals in the second-half and the result of the last quarter-final was 5-2 in the end.
However, seeing Iceland being beaten in such a dominating way rises one question – how bad was England?
Can't see why we were so critical of England. Look how difficult France are finding it playing against Iceland.

Actually, zero comfort for England. France 4 Iceland 0. Promise no more England references. France-Germany semi in Marseille.

It's hard not to like the Iceland players despite them giving the England football team the biggest embarrassment in their history

Don't worry Iceland. England would be at least 8-0 down by now

Iceland shouldn't be embarrassed by this scoreline, England's players should be.
