It has been reported that Arsenal have finally signed a decent defender and his name is Shkodran Mustafi. Mustafi played in Valencia for the past two seasons and has performed pretty good in La Liga, especially compared to the Gunners’ current central defender Per Mertesacker.

Exactly how much better Mustafi has been compared to Mertesacker can be seen in the video below. The margins prove to be pretty high and if Arsenal have actually signed the Valencia defender, then Arsene Wenger definitely deserves some praise for his activity on the transfer market this summer, despite still failing to bring a world-class forward.
