Zlatan Ibrahimovic signed with Manchester United a pretty long time ago after an even longer time of rumors and speculations, but the talks about his decision haven’t stopped yet.
The latest statement made by Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, is that the Swedish striker would have preferred to play in AC Milan than in Manchester United. The agent spoke in front of Italian media and shared the following:
‘Italy cannot afford him, so we had to work out other plans.’
‘Milan are in his heart, certainly his favourite club in Italy and probably the whole world. But this summer we always worked towards Manchester United.’
Ibrahimovic seems to be loving it at Old Trafford and is playing at his usual amazing level, but it seems that going to Manchester United has been a back-up play all the time and Italy was the preferred destination.
