It’s that time of the year again – France Football are beginning to announce the nominees for the 2016 Ballon D’Or award.
However, there has been a change compared to last year, as FIFA are not part of the award presentation anymore and revealing the nominees is being done a bit different. France Football have chosen not to present all of the thirty players that will be in the race for the Ballon D’Or instantly, but instead to post a tweet for every footballer.
There are definitely some surprises, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic who hasn’t been exactly in top form this year, especially at the Euros where his performances were pretty insignificant. The other nominees look pretty justified, at least until now.
